• Sen. Scott Brown was sworn in, giving the GOP a 41-59 majority;

• Snowpocalypse/Snowmageddon hit the Washington, DC area — for all intents and purposes disproving global warming; and

• The first-ever National Tea Party Convention brought together 600 racists and criminals to plot revolution.

Sarah Palin told the National Tea Party Convention that 'America is ready for another revolution.'

Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) delivered the closing keynote address of the first-ever National Tea Party Convention, held in Nashville, TN. Saturday’s program began with discussion panels on “Where the Tea Party Movement Goes from Here” and "Precinct Organizing Best Practices."

In "Runaway America: Benjamin Franklin, Slavery, and the American Revolution," Professor David Waldstreicher asserts that Franklin’s antislavery credentials were exaggerated. He claims that Franklin owned a series of slaves between 1735-1781, complained about the ease with which slaves escaped to the British army during wartime, and profited from the global and domestic slave trade.

Author Jeff Broadwater spoke about his book, "George Mason, Forgotten Founder," published by The University of North Carolina Press. Known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights," George Mason (1725-1792) wrote the Virginia Declaration of Rights, the model for the Bill of Rights, but refused to sign the U.S. Constitution when it did not include the Bill of Rights.
